Your data on Encave

Plain English — not legalese. This is what we hold, why, who sees it, and how to leave.

What we store

  • Your cellar — holdings, locations, consumption, tasting notes, valuations
  • Marketplace activity — listings, bids, orders, disputes, payouts
  • Account details — email, username, addresses for delivery and tax

Who sees what

Your personal cellar is private by default. Community figures (median values, holder counts, note summaries) use anonymised aggregates only — never your name on a bottle count. Sellers see buyer addresses only for fulfilled orders. Public notes you mark PUBLIC are visible; everything else stays yours.

Export anytime

Full export in JSON or CSV — holdings, notes, consumption, provenance, portfolio history. Includes a CellarTracker-compatible inventory shape if you want to round-trip out. Request an export

Delete anytime

Deactivate pauses your account for 30 days (reversible). Delete purges personal data; anonymised sales and public note contributions may remain for marketplace integrity. Manage account

Retention

Transaction and tax records are kept for legal minimum periods (typically 6–7 years). Sale evidence photos attached to completed orders may be retained for dispute resolution. Chat sessions are deleted on account purge.
