How it works

Encave connects private collectors to buy and sell fine wine. We facilitate payment and trust — we never take possession of the bottle.

1

List your wine

Search or scan your bottle, upload verification photos (front label, fill level, capsule), set your reserve and auction window. You stay in control of pricing.

2

Buyers bid and pay

Live timed auctions with transparent bid history. Buyer fees are shown before checkout — no hidden premiums. The payment itself is taken by our payment provider, and Encave holds back the seller payout until delivery is confirmed.

3

Arrange collection, release the payout

Buyer and seller arrange handover directly in-app. Once delivery is confirmed, the seller's payout is released. The platform never touches the bottle.

How to buy

  1. Browse live lots by colour, style, or ending soon — every card shows the current price and buyer fee total.
  2. Open a listing to check verification photos, condition notes, and bid history.
  3. Place a max (proxy) bid on timed auctions, or buy direct-sale lots at the listed price.
  4. Pay at checkout. Arrange collection with the seller, then confirm delivery so the seller payout can be released.
Browse ending soon

How to sell

  1. Start a listing and identify the wine (scan or search).
  2. Upload required verification photos — front label, back label, and fill level. Add an optional video if you like.
  3. Choose timed auction or direct sale, set your price and reserve.
  4. Publish. When the lot sells, arrange handover with the buyer. Your payout is released once delivery is confirmed — you keep 100% of the hammer.

Who can use this?

Buyers must be private individuals buying for personal consumption. Trade-buyer throttling keeps the platform within AWRS private-individual exemptions. Age verification at signup, not checkout.
