What Encave charges
A single buyer fee, already included in every price shown on the site, and nothing at all from the seller — no commission on the hammer, no listing fee, no relisting fee. The current figures are on the fees page, which reads them from the live configuration rather than from a paragraph someone forgot to update.
What a seller receives
The hammer price, in full. It is not payable while the wine is on its way: Encave records the sale and holds back the seller payout until the buyer confirms delivery. Your sales page shows what each sale owes you and what still has to happen before it is paid.
That figure is not a balance held on your behalf and there is no withdrawal button, because Encave does not run a payment account for you — the protection for the buyer is your payout being held back on your own Stripe account, never money sitting with us. Paying it out is the last part still to be built, and nothing has been paid out to anyone yet.
What Encave does not charge for
- Listing a lot, or relisting one that did not sell.
- Setting a reserve.
- A lot that ends unsold.
- A buyer who wins and then does not pay — the seller is not charged for the sale that did not happen.
