Top Shoulder (TS)
Band 3 of 11 on the Encave Bordeaux-shouldered scale v1, where band 1 is into the neck. Band rows in this diagram are evenly spaced and are not to scale.
Published guidance treats this fill as normal from about 15 years (Sotheby's, Tennants, WineBid). This bottle is about 7 years old, so the fill is lower than usual for its age.
Fill level cannot tell you how the bottle was stored. One hot shipment can cost more fill than thirty years of cellaring.

Fill at top shoulder and some bin staining to the lower label.
Where a part says “not assessed”, nobody has recorded it. Other auction houses treat a blank as the best grade — one states in its own glossary that an unindicated fill level means base of neck or higher. Encave does not. Ask the seller before bidding.
